Begin the Riveting Fantasy Series of The Darkwater Saga Book 1

By Divine Right – Short Synopsis
Willet Dura, afflicted by PTSD and night terrors from the last war, investigates the routine death of a Gifted musician. Driven by guilt and a need for penance, he uncovers a series of murders that will allow the perpetrator to impersonate the greatest Gift of all — the Gift of Kings.
Willet Dura must infiltrate the deadly world of court to save the king from assassination and prevent a usurper from claiming the throne.
Writer’s Statement:
Much of what happens in The Darkwater flows from two distinct, yet related sources. The first was the struggle my father endured after flying combat in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was and is the inspiration for much of Willet Dura’s character. A man fighting, and sometimes losing to, his demons.
In addition, readers will note that many characters in the scripts for The King’s Reeve are obviously on the spectrum for autism, though it’s presented, as PTSD is, as a fantasy version. This inspiration comes from my career as a school teacher and is my way of honoring those students I’ve had the privilege to teach.
Together, these characters form the theme of the story: All of us have value.
